About us

The Foundational Pillars of JAMA

• America is our country by God's divine decree and created order.

• As spiritual owners of America, we become awakened to its needs and sins.

• Our spiritual ownership of America is demonstrated by our repentance of our own and our nations' sins.

• Revival and healing in America start with the church’s repentance and intercessory prayers.

• Revival transforms people into spiritual leaders and impacting their homes, their churches, communities, workplaces, and nations as ambassadors and changing agents of Christ.

• JAMA’s ultimate goal is the fulfillment of the Great Commission for the glory of God.

• JAMA is a movement by the Church, with the Church, and for the Church.

• JAMA is Jesus Awakening Movement for America and All Nations.

We believe:

In the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments as inspired Word of God, and inherent in the original writings and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.

In one God, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man.

man was created in the image of God; male and female He created them; that man have sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature.

that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scripture, as representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and all that believe in him are justified by faith on the grounds of his shed blood.

in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven and in His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate.

that the Lord Jesus Christ presently rules as Head of the Church.

in the blessed hope of the Second Coming of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, as promised in the Scripture.

that all who receive by faith Jesus Christ as Lord are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby becoming children of God.

in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.

church is established by Jesus Christ in order to preserve God’s goodness, to carry out Christ’s work, and to promote God’s Kingdom here on earth; therefore, all ministries should be church-centered or supplementary to the ministries of the church.

Awakening and healing of America/all nations for Christ (2 Chronicles 7:14)

The essence of a revival is that the Holy Spirit comes down upon a number of people together, upon a whole church, upon a number of churches, a district or perhaps a whole country.  – D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones –

In 1993, God had given me this burden to pray for America. And to repent of the sins as a nation, as Nehemiah did for Israel. And to plead that God would send His supernatural revival upon His nation. (Dr. John C. Kim- Founder & President, JAMA)

Until then, I thought I was just a Korean living in America, but this nation was created by God and if I’m a child of God, this country is my country. When I understood this, I realized it is my rightful duty to pray for this nation. (Rev. Ezra Soon Young Kang – Co-Founder & Executive Vice President, JAMA)

2 Chronicles 7:14 is the heartbeat of all our national and regional conferences: To come together with God’s people, and to repent and turn from our wicked ways, to earnestly seek His face and pray for the healing of our communities, families, and the nation. (Dr. John C. Kim)

Ownership sets JAMA apart from every other movement. It is the message of ownership that is the anchoring message of JAMA. Everything JAMA does flows out of the value of ownership. It is because we claim ownership of the nation, we pray for the nation, for its healing. It is because of ownership that we challenge people to go into the leadership of the nation, under the leadership of Jesus. (Cathy Rabb, Vice-President, JAMA)

It’s not an organization. It’s not here to replace the local church. It’s a movement. It’s a movement that truly believes that true revival is generated by God, in the local church, through the local church, and for the local church.
JAMA is a prayer movement that’s grounded in repentance and brokenness. It’s about turning from our wicked ways. Now those may not be the most attractive or palatable or marketing-savvy topics, but JAMA is not out to win a popularity contest. It’s about praying for awakening and revival, which I believe all of us agree our land desperately needs. (Rev. Stephen Chong – Lead Pastor, Revival Church / JAMA Board member / GLDI Faculty)

The church goes forward by first going backward. That’s revival: re-vive. We go back to Jesus, back to Romans, back to whatever it was we lost; and when we get back to the truth and life we lost, there is revival, reformation. – Os Guinness – 2007

JAMA stands for Jesus Awakening Movement for America/All Nations and is a prayer and awakening movement based on 2 Chronicles 7:14, “if My people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

JAMA’s three-fold mission is
1) to mobilize local churches (“if my people") to humble themselves, pray and seek God’s face in repentance of their own sin (2 Chronicles 7:14, Joel 2:12-13) as well as the sins of this nation (Nehemiah 1:5-7);
2) to humbly ask the Lord to revive His people by the work of the Holy Spirit and bring healing to our families, our churches, our communities, and America (Psalms 85:6, Acts 4:31, Romans 12:1-2); and
3) to develop participants to shed their bystander mentality and become transforming agents of Jesus Christ, impacting America and the world for His glory (Zechariah 8:20-21, Matthew 28:19, Acts 26:16-18).

JAMA, which is not a para-church ministry, but a movement geared towards strengthening the local church, seeks to carry our this three-fold mission on several fronts:

  • National and regional conferences (New Awakening Conferences & Intercessory Prayer Conferences)

  • Leadership training programs (Global Leadership Development Institute (GLDI))

  • Pastoral and lay-leader training and strategic vision-casting (Global Leadership Forum (GLF) & Total Leadership Forum (TLF))

  • Working professionals (God Employed (GE))

Intercessory Prayer Conference

The backbone of the JAMA movement, Intercessory Prayer Conferences are held in different regions to gather intercessors to learn about prayer and the current issues facing our society, pray for their communities, and network with other prayer warriors from around the nations.

Global Leadership Forum

Since 2000, JAMA has held over 60 GLF retreats all over the country with different small (20-50 at a time) focus groups of senior pastors, EM ministry pastors, youth pastors, lay leaders, and professors from all over the world to gather to pray, share, plan and strategize for the revival of America and the fulfillment of the Great Commission. God has been challenging us to take the next step of leadership for this generation towards the revival of the world and to become this generations's Spiritual mainstream leaders.

Jesus Healing & Health

Only through Jesus Christ can we experience Kingdom health and healing.

The Bible tells us what a healthy life is, how to manage our health, how to practice healing and what true healing from God looks like.

It is our mission to serve others through the healing ministry that Jesus exemplified throughout His life and continue this ministry.

JAMA New Awakening Conference

is JAMA"s national/regional conference to mobilize thousands of God's people to humbly seek God's face in repentance, ask for God to bring reconciliation and renewal to this land and to develop participants as changing agents of Jesus to impact their world for His glory.

Global Leadership
Development Institute

GLDI is a 40-day intensive leadership training to develop Spirit-filled, competent, powerful and transforming ambassadors to change the nation and the world for Christ.

Total Leadership Forum

Since 2001, we have trained over 1000 Korean-speaking senior pastors through our 3-4 day leadership retreats in different regions of our nation to challenge and equip pastors to take ownership of their communities and become the leaders that our world desperately needs.
