What Does JAMA Believe?
- We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments as the inspired Word of God and inherent in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
- We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary to be true God and true man.
- We believe man was created in the image of God, male and female He created them; that all men have sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature.
- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scripture, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified by faith on the grounds of shed blood.
- We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven and in this present life is there for us, as High Priest and Advocate.
- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ presently rules as Head of the Church.
- We believe in the blessed hope of the Second Coming of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, as promised in the Scripture.
- We believe that all who receive by faith Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
- We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
- We believe the church is established by Jesus Christ in order to preserve God’s goodness, to carry out Christ’s work, and to promote God’s Kingdom here on earth; therefore, all ministries should be church-centered or supplementary to the ministries of the church.
