Please fervently pray for our nation. Would you include these prayer topics not only during your personal prayer time, but also during times of corporate prayer?

1. Pray that God will bring repentance and awakening to this nation. Pray for God’s forgiveness for our nation’s arrogance, greed, and apathy. Pray that we would humble ourselves before God, turn from our wicked ways, and seek His face.
2. Pray that God will bring wisdom and grace upon the Bush Administration so that they can resolve the economic crisis, the war with Iraq, and the problems with Afghanistan, Iran, and North Korea effectively.
3. Pray for those who serve in our local, state, and federal government. Pray that these men and women will come to fear the Lord and seek to do His will.
4. Pray that the public servants who have been elected would fear God and seek His face and guidance in leading this nation.
5. Proposition 8, which upholds the traditional institution of marriage as between a man and a woman, passed in California. Please pray as people are taking this issue to court.
6. Pray for the restoration of America’s respectable standing in the world and for greater leadership so that this country can be used in bringing peace and the Good News of the Gospel to all the nations.
7. Pray that Christians would be faithful disciples who live out our callings in all areas of society, including the home, as well as the overseas mission field with Christ-centered humility and excellence. Pray for Christians to be courageous and diligent for Christ in our vocations, using our influence and character to point others to Him.
8. Pray that Christians would lead pure lives in fear of and reverence for God. Pray that our lifestyles and worldviews be grounded in God’s word and the security of His grace and sovereignty and not by the worldly lies of temporary comfort and excess. Pray that God’s people would continue to have a heart for the lost and compassion on the needy in our own communities and cities.
9. Pray that God would be the center of each family unit and that strained families would experience healing and reconciliation.
10. Pray for our local churches to be permeated with prayer and repentance, thereby experiencing revival in their congregations.
11. Pray that our sovereign God would give us another great awakening in this land!
